Texas head coach Charlie Strong is going to change the perceived culture issue with the school’s football team, or he’s going to die trying. The latest example of this came today, when the Texas football team got off of the team bus at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium wearing the same suits. Wow. #Texas players get off the bus wearing khaki pants, white shirts, burnt orange ties and blue blazers. Just wow. — Brian Davis (@BDavisAAS) August 30, 2014 The players on the team all look sharp, as you can see right here: Different #StadiumStampede for the #Texas players under Charlie Strong! pic.twitter.com/o6K7fTczis — Chris Bennett (@chrisgb00) August 30, 2014 Best photo I can do at the moment of Texas players in suits and ties. pic.twitter.com/nXgpbg95zo — Brian Davis (@BDavisAAS) August 30, 2014 This is the latest in a long line of things that Strong has done to change the culture at Texas, as he has also kicked players off of the team, and made players earn the right to wear the Longhorns on their helmets, among other things. We’ll see how Strong’s new, authoritarian style translates to the football field tonight, as Texas takes on North Texas at 8 p.m.
