The University of Florida police department says it is investigating a claim that Gators defensive tackle Dominique Easley attacked a former Alabama player outside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium following the Tide's 38-10 victory.
UPD Major Brad Barber says the investigation should be done this week and that Easley could be charged with battery.
Barber says Easley's attorney, Huntley Johnson, declined a request for his client to be interviewed Tuesday.
Former Alabama defensive back Reggie Myles filed a complaint with the police department alleging Easley attacked him without provocation shortly after midnight Sunday.
The Tuscaloosa News first reported the incident.
According to the complaint, Myles identified Easley as his attacker after speaking to Easley's parents, who were at the scene.
Easley leads No. 17 Florida with 4 1/2 tackles for loss.
