Te'o Feels Good About Pro Day (Video). Many draft experts are projecting Notre Dame ILB Manti Te'o as a mid to late first round pick. Most had Te'o in the top 15 before the BCS National Championship game, but his stock dropped some after his performance in the title game, a weak outing at the NFL combine, and of course, the drama involving the fake girlfriend hoax. With the recent downfalls, Te'o did not need to suffer any more setbacks during his pro day held today. He did run a better 40 time with his top time being 4.69 (Notre Dame's unofficial time) and tallied 21 reps on the 225 lb bench press. Today's work out may have helped him slightly, but his stock looks to remain close to the same as before. "I felt good. I'm at home now," Te'o said. "I was very pleased with how I performed." (Chicago Tribune)  While he does have good on-field reaction and was a solid tackler until he faced Alabama, his athleticism and lack of dynamic a...

NFL Draft 2013 Top 5 Inside Linebackers

Now that Manti Te’o’s pro day is over at Notre Dame, the question is how much did Te’o improve his stock. The answer is not much. That’s not to say that Te’o’s improved 40-yard dash time or his 21 reps in the bench press weren’t good. His 4.7 time in the 40 was a tenth of a second better than what he ran at the NFL Combine last month. Te’o did help himself, but the...

Georgia Football: Ramik Wilson, “we’re younger and faster…”

One word comes immediately to mind when I think about the 2013 Georgia Bulldogs’ defensive unit: HUNGRY. So much discussion is being had about the loss of big-name guys like Jarvis Jones, Bacarri Rambo, and Alec Ogletree, that most people are expecting the Dawgs’ defense to fall hard on their collective arse in 2013. After all,  the schedule is harder, the teams around them...

Report: Justin Ferguson To Transfer From Notre Dame

They say it’s more the merrier, but Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly cannot be very happy right now. Several weeks ago, rising sophomore quarterback Gunner Kiel decided to leave Notre Dame to pursue playing at another school with less quarterback competition. Then, just last night, news broke that wide-receiver Davonte’ Neal would leaving as well in order to be closer to home...

Latest Transfers from Notre Dame leave depth issues at wide receiver

(Davonte Neal in National Championship Game - courtesy USAToday Sports/Landon Collins) Notre Dame just can't stay out of the news as of late. First it was nomadic QB Gunner Keil announcing that he was transferring out of the program and now today reports are that two wide receivers - Davonte' Neal and Justin Ferguson - are transferring from the program as well. Normally...

Georgia Recruiting: Nick Chubb, “Georgia most definitely is up there…”

Nick Chubb, like Sony Michel, is high on the Georgia Bulldogs’ 2014 wish list. The 5-11, 210+ pound, tailback out of Cedartown High School (GA) visited Athens over the weekend and, once again, came away with good vibrations. “It was good to get back down there, I was able to speak to all the coaches again,” Chubb said.”Coach (Mark) Richt was just talking to me about how much...

Notre Dame WRs leave team

Notre Dame says freshmen wide receivers Davonte' Neal and Justin Ferguson are no longer with the team. Coach Brian Kelly also said Wednesday that running back Amir Carlisle, who missed all of last season with a leg injury, is out for the rest of spring practice with a broken collarbone. Sophomore defensive end Chase Hounshell will miss the 2013 season with the same shoulder...

Mark Richt STILL Trying To Sell Georgia Mansion For $2 Million

Mark Richt has been the head coach of Georgia’s football program since 2001. With only 2 SEC titles and 3 BCS Bowl appearances during that time, perhaps Richt thinks his time in Athens might be nearing an end. He put his Hartwell, Georgia mansion on the market for just $2 million. Hartwell, which is located about an hour from the Athens, GA campus, provides a nice lake front escape...

Mark Richt Fires Up The Twitter Machine Again

Richt, noted butt-dial enthusiast and swing set daredevil, has returned to Twitter after taking an extended break.  After signing up in 2009, Richt became bored with Twitter, most likely because he was not getting a steady diet of animal GIFs, which compose 95% of all tweets, AS THEY SHOULD. After being shown a glimpse of the delightful world of animal GIFs, as well as realizing...

All you need is $2 million and the lake house mansion of Georgia Bulldogs coach Mark Richt is yours.

Mark Richt's tweets from his pants. Or: Tales from the Backside.

It seems Georgia head football coach had a little accident or two in his pants recently. Fourtinetly it was of the technological kind, and not the kind Triple H had on WWE RAW a few weeks ago. It seems he's been sending tweets from his pants when he sits down. Yes, let's get these out of the way right now: Mark Richt has lost control of Twitter. Mark Richt...
