Former TCU starting quarterback Casey Pachall has returned to TCU and is again a member of the Horned Frogs football team according to Forth-Worth Star Telegram. Pachall was dismissed from the team in October after a DUI arrest and subsequently decided to enter a treatment facility for substance abuse. Head Coach Gary Patterson is quoted saying “He did everything we wanted him to do” in order to rejoin the team. He participated in team meetings on Sunday, and unless he goes all Honey Badger should be in line to remain on team. Patterson on Pachall: “He looks great. It’s like he looked when he was a freshman. Right now, we feel really good about this. It’s never going to be 100 percent perfect but there is a chance we did the right thing and made a difference. You’ve got to understand, everybody is going to be watching on this.” We will have quite the quarterback controversy in Ft Worth. In 2012 before his suspension Pachall completed 66 percent of his passes for 10 touchdowns and 1 interception through 4 games. Trevone Boykin a redshirt freshman came in and although he struggled early, now has experience under his belt and lead the Horned Frogs to a Bowl Game in relief of Pachall. Boykin passed for 2054 yards with 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
