In 2010 Ryan Mallet took the Arkansas Razorbacks to soaring heights as he masterfully commanded a high-tempo offense before departing for the NFL. A year later, optimism and expectation were equally high in Fayetteville, but there was one big question: Would Tyler Wilson be able to handle the burden of running the Hogs offense? Wilson answered with a resounding yes last season, tying a school record with 11 wins while becoming the first Razorback quarterback to be named first-team All-SEC . Today, the only question surrounding Wilsons ability is how far can he take Arkansas this year. Wilson has the best arm and offense in the SEC. Hes already being pinned as the NFLs top QB for 2013. The Razorback offense will hum with greater efficiency with the 2010 SEC leading rusher Knile Davis returning. Of course, the problems for Arkansas are well documented. The Razorbacks wont be playing for coach Bobby Petrino any longer, the man who developed Arkansas offensive system. That, and they still play in the same division as LSU and Alabama. But Wilson will know the offense after watching Mallet and stretching the limits of what it meant to be high-powered offense last season, so Petrinos absence will be slightly mitigated. And if theres an arm to overcome the vaunted defenses that await on Arkansas schedule, its Tyler Wilsons Heisman-capable rifle.
