Some of the big news in the recruiting world as National Signing Day inches closer. *Daily DGB Update Arkansas head coach Robert Petrino won't be a part of the Razorbacks' delegation conducting an in-home visit with coveted wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham today. Apparently, the boss Hog "accidentally" bumped into DGB earlier this month in San Antonio, Texas, at the U.S. Army All-American Game. The week of the game occurred during a so-called "dead period" in which coaches are not allowed to contact recruits. Another team competing for the recruit's commitment allegedly snitched on Petrino's potential violation. Personally, I can totally see how this little mix-up could occur. I mean, how could Petrino have known the country's premier high school football all-star game was being held in the same city where he'd be attending the American Football Coaches Association convention two days later? Could Bobby Petrino’s misstep with DGB open door for Texas?

Arkansas Razorbacks head coach Bobby Petrino was set to meet with consensus national No. 1 recruit Dorial Green-Beckham at his home in Springfield, Missouri. Turns out, that visit cannot, and will not happen, due to a “situation” that occurred during a no-contact period earlier this year. Evidently, Petrino “accidentally bumped into Green-Beckham” during the American...

NCAA Should Investigate Dennis Dodd Report

Arkansas Razorbacks: Virtually on the eve of the February 1, 2012, National Signing Day, CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd posts “Petrino not seeing No. 1 recruit Thursday“. If you care to look, it’s a half-baked mini-exposé which does everything but accuse Bobby Petrino of a recruiting violation [...]

Arkansas Razorbacks: 2011 Exit Survey

I've been an outspoken critic of how Bobby Petrino became the Arkansas Razorbacks Head Coach. It was clearly the right move by Petrino, but obviously it came at a very wrong time. One thing is clear when it comes to Petrino and that's the fact that he is one of the best offensive minds in college football. Since coming to Arkansas, the Razorbacks have posted a better record...

1-on-1 with Arkansas Commit Vin Ascolese

NORTH BERGEN, NJ. -- Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino spend more than four hours as the home of North Bergen High outside linebacker Vin Ascolese on Thursday, but it didn't much matter. The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder already was set on the Razorbacks, and he went 1-on-1 with Scout.com afterward to explain why.

State of the Hogs: Evaluations

Stars are important, but evaluations reign supreme with Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino. The proof is on the field.

One Week From Today

Arkansas' 2012 grid recruiting class stands 13th in the Scout.com team rankings and Razorback coach Bobby Petrino expects to finish strong with the national signing date now just a week away on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Arkansas Razorback Recruiting: Hogs Add another Verbal Commitment

Linebacker Vin Ascolese from North Bergen, New Jersey made an official announcement on Friday that he will be calling the Hogs on National Signing Day. Ascolese is listed at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds and runs a 4.5 40-yard dash. He was the only New Jersey high school player that made the Parade All-American list this season. Ascolese played in the Semper Fidelis All-American Game in...
