With National Signing Day quickly approaching, CBR will be giving you a daily roundup of the key developments on the national recruiting scene up until the ink is dry on all those letters of intent.

*Daily DGB Update

Why not kick things off with the country's consensus No. 1 recruit, wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham? H/T to SoonerScoop.com ($) for the news that Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops and wide receivers coach Jay Norvell traveled to Springfield, Mo., Monday night for an in-home visit with DGB. (No helicopters involved.)

Green-Beckham has played his cards pretty close to the vest throughout his recruitment, but the smart money seems to be on him ending up at Arkansas, where he had an official visit over the weekend.

He'll reportedly play host to Razorbacks coach Bobby Petrino later this week, along with Texas coach Mack Brown.

*Hate Surprises?

If you like your National Signing Day free from drama, Rivals.com's recruiting gurus have predicted where they think the remaining uncommited prospects in their list of the top 100 recruits will land.

*Edwards Ends Any Suspense

Longtime Florida State commit Mario Edwards Jr. affirmed his pledge on Monday to the Seminoles. Edwards had waffled in the fall, flirting at different points with Texas, Oklahoma and LSU. Ultimately, the lure of his father's alma mater proved too strong.

*Look At You, Greg Schiano

Our buddies at Big East Coast Bias detail the bang-up recruiting class Rutgers is assembling. Coach Greg Schiano appears to be cashing in on a strong year for talent in the Garden State.

*Junior, Junior Griffey

Rich Rodriguez nabbed a commitment from Trey Griffey, son of surefire Cooperstown entrant Ken Griffey Jr.

*How Does He Do It?

Rivals.com's Steve Megargee analyzes Lane Kiffin's success in building a high-caliber recruiting class at USC despite dealing with major NCAA sanctions. And no, it doesn't involve anything that got the Trojans in trouble in the first place.
