Last Saturday's Big Tweleven Legends division clash between Iowa and Michigan came down to the last play of the game. As someone who has only watched a 20-second highlight clip of the game, in my opinion, the difference was Iowa's perceived non-politically correct pink locker rooms. Brady Hoke is not changing his message, not now.

Michigan football coach Brady Hoke heard from the Big Ten on some of the controversial calls in Saturday's 24-16 loss at Iowa, particularly on the Junior Hemingway possible TD catch ruled incomplete on the final series. But nothing significant changed.

He said Monday his first-team reps have increased recently, and his 170-yard breakout game against Purdue was a function of study during the bye week and treatment on his injured shoulder.

The Fighting Illini football team plays host to the Michigan Wolverines Saturday. Many see this as a rematch of the double overtime thriller in Ann Arbor last season. The Wolverines have much of their lineup back, and new coach Brady Hoke has them playing well. They have speed to burn and plenty of experience as both teams look to rebound from losses.

Formation notes: A lot more under center in this game. I've got Michigan with 9 snaps in an ace formation, four in Denard jet, and 14 in I-Form. Michigan had 26 shotgun snaps in hurry-up time and 22 outside of it.
Of Michigan's 49 snaps in their base offense, 22 were from the shotgun, a 45% rate. Big dropoff from before the bye week.
I called this "ace tight"...
