Last night, a UK spokesperson confirmed that during workouts, Kentucky running back Josh Clemons injured his leg. We don’t know the extent of his injury, but we do know that there will likely be MRI results Monday. But UK confirmed late tonight that RB Josh Clemons injured his leg and is having an MRI. Coaches hope to know extent of injury by Monday. — Jen Smith (@jenheraldleader) July 13, 2013 This isn’t his first collegiate injury — Clemons sat out last season recovering from surgery for a torn meniscus. According to Jen Smith of the Lexington Herald-Leader, Clemons was close to being 100 percent in the spring and said his leg was “feeling good”.  Before his previous injury, Clemons was expected to perform at an elite level after an impressive freshman season. In 2011, he rushed for 279 yards in the first six games of the season before getting injured in the Wildcats’ game against South Carolina. Without Clemons, the team will lose offensive depth and a veteran athlete. Hopefully some good luck will come his way — we will keep you updated when more information is released.  [Herald-Leader]
