Kentucky linebacker Ridge Wilson was suspended from the team Monday following his arrest over the weekend on a felony drug charge, WDRB-TV reported. Police said Wilson, 21, was arrested early Sunday in Louisville in an area "known for drug trafficking and drug use." An officer on patrol approached Wilson after seeing him sitting in his car on the side of the street with no lights on, according to the arrest report. The officer stated Wilson acted nervously, and "kept mentioning he played football for the University of Kentucky," before allowing the officer to search the vehicle. The search reportedly turned up nearly $2,000 in cash in a pair of jeans inside the vehicle, along with a bag of Xanax pills. Wilson was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. The Louisville native recorded 47 tackles and two sacks in nine games in his junior season for the Wildcats.
