Urban Meyer will officially take over the head coaching job at Ohio State, according to an ESPN report.
His agent, Trace Armstrong, reportedly made the news known Monday morning.
Meyer, who won two national titles at Florida and now works as an ESPN analyst, had been rumored to be ready to accept the job for most of the last week.
He had originally been scheduled to work the Ohio-State Michigan game on Saturday, but begged off to avoid becoming a distraction.
Meyer would replace Luke Fickell, who took over when longtime Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel resigned amid an NCAA benefits scandal.
