Murphy comfortable in first start

The preparation didn’t change for Tyler Murphy. He has been preparing for every game as a starter in recent years, so last week didn’t provide much of a difference. His play on the field showed it. The junior quarterback was in command of the Florida offense, checking plays at the line of scrimmage and making throws down the field when they were open.

Pease used nature walk to calm Murphy

Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease understood the situation. He was dealing with a quarterback preparing for his first career start and wanted a way to clear Tyler Murphy’s mind. He didn’t want the junior quarterback dwelling on his preparation before the night game at Kentucky, so he came up with a creative plan to keep Murphy’s mind from being only on football.
