After what was a turbulent week in college football, a lot of shakeup in the Top-25 was in order. Both Michigan and Northwestern fell out of the rankings after losing to unranked opponents. Stanford and Georgia took both took a tumble after losing at home. And the wheels fell off the wagon for Oklahoma, coming up on the wrong end of the Red River Rivalry game with Texas. The real big winners in this shakeup was Missouri and the SEC. Gary Pinkel’s Missouri Tigers made their appearance in the rankings last week before their game with No. 7 Georgia. The 25th ranked Tigers went between the hedges and knocked the depleted Bulldogs out of the Top-10 with a 41-26 win. With their 6-0 record, the Tigers jumped 11 spots to No. 14. The celebrations in Columbia may be short lived with starting quarterback James Franklin nursing an injured shoulder. He will most likely miss the rest of the regular season. Georgia fell to No. 15 after suffering their second loss of the season. With Michigan and Northwestern exiting the polls, the Auburn Tigers make an appearance at No. 24 with their 5-1 record. Adding Auburn. the SEC’s total of eight teams in the Top-25 is another unprecedented benchmark of success for the seven time defending national champions. The SEC is the first and only conference to achieve this feat. Here are the teams, and where they rank in the updated Top 25: 1. Alabama (6-0) 6. LSU (6-1) 7. Texas A&M (5-1) 11. South Carolina (5-1) 14. Missouri (6-0) 15. Georgia (4-2) 22. Florida (4-2) 24. Auburn (5-1)
