The bad news keeps coming for Charlie Strong and the Louisville football team. During his press conference earlier this afternoon, Coach Strong broke the unfortunate news that junior running back Senorise Perry will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.
Perry went down during the first half against Syracuse on Saturday. He was helped off the field and didn’t return for the Cards. It initially looked like it was an ankle injury, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
Despite this being Perry’s first season as a full time running back, he currently leads the Cards with 705 yards on 136 carries for 11 touchdowns. Perry is averaging 5.2 yards per carry. He’s rushed for over 100 yards on three occasions this season.
Although Dominique Brown is now healthy, I doubt we see the staff pull the redshirt with just three games left in the season. Jeremy Wright will likely get the majority of the carries along with redshirt freshman Corvin Lamb. We saw a glimpse of what Lamb is capa...
