Found July 18, 2013 on College Spun:
Many folks would argue that South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney is the best player in the SEC. In fact, he’s the odds-on favorite to go first overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. However, there are apparently some doubters even in his own conference. This morning, media members got a chance to vote on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-team All-SEC rosters. Of course, there will always be a few disagreements, but this one was a complete shocker: 20 of the 243 voters didn’t select Clowney for the 1st team — that’s nearly 10%, 243 media voted for All-SEC team: 20 did not vote for Jadeveon Clowney on first team. Jadeveon Clowney probably scares most quarterbacks, even if they wouldn’t want to admit it. At 6-foot-6, 274 pounds, it’s easy to see why some would be scared of the South Carolina defensive lineman. Not only can he deliver bone-crushing hits, like the one he laid on Michigan’s Vincent Smith in last year’s Outback Bowl, but he can also run pretty fast for his size — 40...
