Friday we urged you to get your money in on the Savannah State Tigers before they cruised into Tallahassee as 70.5 point underdogs against the Seminoles. Florida State is a national title contender, and Savannah State should probably consider just taking their team behind a barn and murdering them, but come on, nobody was gonna cover a 70.5 point spread, right? That's what I thought. For 39 seconds. That's how long it took the Seminoles to score on a 61-yard Rodney Smith catch, and from there the points flowed like the waterfall in the old Irish Spring commercials. Florida State led 35-0 after one quarter, 48-0 at halftime, and 55-0 after taking their first second half possession to the house. Uh oh.
