Friday we urged you to get your money in on the Savannah State Tigers before they cruised into Tallahassee as 70.5 point underdogs against the Seminoles. Florida State is a national title contender, and Savannah State should probably consider just taking their team behind a barn and murdering them, but come on, nobody was gonna cover a 70.5 point spread, right? That's what I thought. For 39 seconds. That's how long it took the Seminoles to score on a 61-yard Rodney Smith catch, and from there the points flowed like the waterfall in the old Irish Spring commercials. Florida State led 35-0 after one quarter, 48-0 at halftime, and 55-0 after taking their first second half possession to the house. Uh oh. It got so bad that the coaches had to agree to implement Florida's high school blowout rules and start playing with a running clock, but the Seminoles still beat the Tigers up and down the field like they were a fighter that had jumped three weight classes.
