AUBURN, AL - SEPTEMBER 25: Backup quarterback Connor Shaw of the South Carolina Gamecocks looks to pass against the Auburn Tigers at Jordan-Hare Stadium on September 25, 2010 in Auburn, Alabama. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)
Connor Shaw South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw has found a way to cause controversy in Columbia, SC that even his predecessor, Stephen Garcia, couldn't even think of. Shaw make a somewhat negative comment about the cleats provided by the Gamecocks uniform supplier, Under Armor on Twitter Thursday night. The tweet has since been taken down, but its contents were preserved. "3rd time the sole of my Under Armour shoes have completely busted. And we wonder why so many people have “freak” foot injuries on the team.” Well, that's certainly a new way to get Steve Spurrier hot and bothered. Under Armour probably isn't too amused by Shaw's comments, either. I expect the company will be sending Shaw one of these new Bryce Harper-inspired t-shirts very soon.
