EAST LANSING, Mich. Michigan State junior tailback LeVeon Bell is foregoing his senior season to enter the NFL Draft. He is expected by experts to be a likely second-round pick.
Just after noon ET Thursday, Bell posted two messages on his Twitter account, @L_Bell24.
The first said: As hard as it was to leave spartan nation, it was even harder to pass on such a great opportunity I have in front of me!
Then he added: But I love and thank spartan nation for everything! I will always be a Spartan!
Bell rushed for 145 yards and one touchdown in MSUs 17-16 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl victory over TCU on Dec. 29, finishing 2012 with 1,793 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. The rushing total was second in school history behind the 2,066 by Lorenzo White in 1985.
