Found February 04, 2013 on Fox Sports Carolinas:
2012 record: 2-10 overall, 1-7 ACC Spring game date: April 20 2012 in review: To their credit, the Eagles were only blown out by FSU and Clemson, so the team hung tough despite mounting losses that eventually cost Frank Spaziani his job. The only wins were over FCS member Maine and a Maryland team that fell apart in the second half of the season. The Eagles just couldnt score points. Their highest total over the final seven games came in a 30-23 overtime loss to Virginia Tech, as Boston College dropped its final four contests. Biggest hole to fill: How do you replace a guy who registered 53 more tackles than anyone else on the roster? Thats what new BC coach Steve Addazio must do. The previous staff had to replace Luke Kuechly, who was the ninth pick taken in last Aprils NFL draft, and Nick Clancy stepped up. He recorded 145 tackles, broke up 10 passes, had 10 pass deflections, forced a fumble and blocked a kick. Sophomore Nick Lifka (6-foot-2, 242 pounds) is a possible replacement, though he failed to record a tackle this past season. Watch out for: Junior WR Spiffy Evans could be primed to explode in 2013. He has already owned the kick and punt returning jobs for two seasons ran a punt back for a score this past season and caught 22 passes for 257 yards and a touchdown as a sophomore. Speedy and improving as a route runner, Evans can complement Alex Amidon quite nicely.
