According to Charlie Spring of UofLCardGame.com, the suspensions for Zeke Pike, Charles Gaines, BJ Dubose and Kamal Hogan have been lifted and all four players are expected to participate in spring practice.
The four players had been suspended midway through the season for an off the field incident. Charlie Strong declined to elaborate on what exactly the four players did that caused their suspension. Gaines, Dubose and Hogan’s status was suspended indefinitely, while Pike was actually off of the team.
All four players are talented enough to be integral pieces to Louisville’s team in 2013.
Kamal Hogan, a 6-foot 200-pound safety appeared in every game for Louisville during both the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Hogan has played mostly on special teams and was previously a running back for the Cardinals.
Zeke Pike, a 6-foot-5 225-pound quarterback transferred to Louisville in August after enrolling for the 2012 spring semester at Auburn. Pike was rated as one of the top quarterback prospects...

Charlie Strong receives new 8 year deal
Louisville head coach Charlie Strong and UofL have finally agreed upon, and approved, a new eight year deal worth a reported $3.7 million per year. According to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, Strong is now the seventh highest paid coach in college football. Not bad for a guy who couldn’t get a head coaching job for nearly thirty years.
