After Wednesday’s practice, Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was asked by the media about going back to his hometown of Miami this weekend to play against Florida International. Going home and playing in front of friends and family may seem like a potential distraction, but Bridgewater is taking a business approach to the trip to South Beach.
“Going home doesn’t play a factor at all. We’re going down there to play football. It’s not a vacation or anything like that,” Bridgewater told the media. “If I see my family, I see my family, but my goal is to go win football games. Right now it’s all about this university.”
Bridgewater is just one of sixteen players on the Louisville roster who are from the Miami area. It’s great to see Teddy showing this type of leadership. Hopefully his teammates take the same type of approach this weekend.
