Tennessee fans were really set on Charlie Strong being their next football coach. When the news broke last night that Strong was staying at Louisville, let’s just say the UT fan base was slightly butt hurt. Not only has Charlie Strong turned down Tennessee, but Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy and most recently Larry Fedora of North Carolina turned them down as well.
Erik Ainge, a former UT quarterback and now the host of Tennessee Sports Radio has been very frustrated to say the least with UT’s job search.
Ainge posted this picture on his Twitter account yesterday afternoon. He said on his radio show this morning that bringing Phil Fulmer back may be the best option at this point for Tennessee. Yikes.
This artwork went viral with the Tennessee fan base earlier this week.
We’re flattered at how bad you wanted to take our head coach, but Charlie is staying. This one might be my favorite. Photo via @ElleRaiser.
