The Tennessee Volunteers have not quite had the season that they had hoped for, and after another loss this week dropped them to 3-3, the students started to speak out by painting the rock next to the Neyland-Thompson Sports Center. The most recent loss was to Mississippi State, which not only dropped them to 3-3, but more specifically 0-3 in the SEC.  Things are only going to get worse for Volunteers Head Coach Derek Dooley though, because this week the Alabama Crimson Tide are coming to Knoxville.H/T: Lost Lettermen

Tennessee fans paint anti-Dooley messages on The Rock.

The natives are getting restless in Knoxville. Tennessee is 3-3, with two losses in a row, and head football coach Derek Dooley is on the Hot Seat like he has never been before. Tennessee students  have painted numerous anti-Dooley statements on The Rock on the University of Tennessee campus. With Alabama coming to Neyland Stadium next Saturday, it's starting to look His Hairness...

University of Tennessee paints over anti-Dooley graffiti on The Rock.

Well, that didn't take long. The University of Tennessee quickly painted over graffiti defamatory to Volunteers head football coach Derek Dooley. Here's the before.   And here's the after, tweeted by @FallonMSmith. Don't let it be said that the University of Tennessee isn't standing behind His Hairness...for now. (vai @FallonMSmith)

Derek Dooley claims he may have injured his hip while water skiing.

How did Tennessee head football coach Derek Dooley injure his hip, on which he had surgery on last week that forced him into the Neyland Stadium coaches' box during the Vols' loss to Mississippi State? During his weekly press conference on Monday, His Hairness, he possibly "might have tweaked it water skiing" during the summer. "It took me two months to realize...

Tennessee's Tyler Bray, Raijon Neal injured.

Does Tennessee need any more bad news after back-to-back losses to Georgia and Mississippi State? Well, the Vols got some anyway as tailback Raijon Neal, the team's leading rusher in 2012, may miss the Alabama-Tennessee game due to an ankle injury.  Neal is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to injuries for the Vols, as star quarterback Tyler Bray has a knee injury...

Future Nonexistent for Derek Dooley and the Vols

As the smothering soot and darkness that commonly precedes The Dark Lord Nick Saban envelops Knoxville, we all assume that Derek Dooley needs to be thinking about where to go from here. On the precipice of 3-4, how do you keep a team that willingly admits to quitting against Kentucky a year ago on the path to the seven or eight wins he desperately needs this season to keep his orange...

Bama's defense just as stingy despite NFL exodus

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- That exodus of NFL talent hasn't made Alabama's defense any more generous. The top-ranked Crimson Tide still leads the nation in run, pass, scoring and total defense -- just like last season. In fact, the numbers are all slightly better than last year's national title group that drew speculation about whether it was Bama's best. The Alabama...
