Streaker taken down at Texas Tech game

For the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday, everything was going right in their 49-14 drubbing of No. 5 West Virginia. But for one Texas Tech fan who wanted to bring attention onto himself, things didn't go so smoothly. At one point during Saturday's game, a man took to the field in an attempt to streak across Jones AT&T Stadium, but at best, all the crowd got was a mild...

Texas Tech streaker tries to strip on football field, gets tackled by cops (video)

Last weekend, the Texas Tech Red Raiders football team scored a huge victory over Geno Smith and the 5th-ranked University of West Virginia. I could recap the amazing performance of the Raiders defense in shutting down Heisman Trophy candidate Geno Smith but instead of that; let us get a laugh or two from a streaker who got taken down by police in the fourth quarter....

Texas Tech leaning on WR depth

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By BETSY BLANEY Associated Press Not since Michael Crabtree left for the NFL has Texas Tech had a receiver average 100 yards a game. These days, the Red Raiders' passing attack is done with a stable of mostly unknown receivers, none of whom get gargantuan receiving yards. None is ranked highly nationally. Recent injuries could...

Video: Texas Tech fan has hilarious streaking fail

I'm not sure if this spectacle qualifies in the traditional sense of the word "streaking", but it's a noble attempt nonetheless. Seen here is a Texas Tech fan giving the crowd at Jones AT&T Stadium a PG-13 striptease during the Red Raiders recent game against the No. 5 West Virginia Mountaineers. The standard protocol for these types of events usually call...

Previewing Texas Tech's trip to TCU

The winner between Texas Tech and TCU on Saturday will find themselves in the thick of the Big 12 race and possibly even in first place depending on the outcome of the West Virginia and Kansas State Games. Texas Tech comes in after throttling West Virginia while TCU also got back in the win column by disposing of Baylor.  You can bet recruits in Texas will be paying attention to...

K-State gets blueprint for beating West Virginia

Tommy Tuberville and Texas Tech sure took a lot of the head-scratching out of trying to slow down No. 17 West Virginia. Just in time for fourth-ranked Kansas State, too. The Wildcats head to Morgantown on Saturday with a pretty good blueprint for success. The difficulty is in trying to follow it. Coach Bill Snyder said Tuesday that the Red Raiders' passing game was a big reason...

DC Fan Pics: Week 7

DC fans checked in before the Texas Tech upset of West Virginia... Thanks to everyone for sending in their pics from Week 7. We're down to the last crumbs of our first batch of t-shirts, so if you send any in for the rest of the season and don't wear a womens' size small it might take us a little longer than usual to get you your gear. We'll throw in a koozie or...

The WVU Loss Was All My Fault

It Was My Fault! There I said it. West Virginia lost to Texas Tech because I failed to follow my pre-game ritual. My  mistake was pulling on my old #5 jersey from the Pat White days. Even the novice fan knows that the mojo contained within a jersey is only valid for, at the most, [...]
