A week after watching him suffer one of the most gruesome and devastating injuries I've ever witnessed, I'm finally reading good news about Marcus Lattimore. The University of South Carolina star is out of the hospital and back on campus, and the updated injury report (dislocated knee, ligament damage) is a night and day improvement from the original prognosis (broken femur, broken patella, all four ligaments torn). Lattimore's a class act, and the outpouring of support he's received from the NFL and NCAA communities underscores the respect and admiration so many have for this young man. With proper medical care, and lots of intense rehabilitation, a return to the football field is still possible for Lattimore. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but it doesn't matter.
