ESPN.com’s Adam Rittenberg continued his countdown of the top players in the Big Ten on Friday and Wisconsin wide receiver Jared Abbrederis came in at No. 21. Abbrederis joins teammate Mike Taylor as the second Badger listed in the top-25.
Sticking with the Big Ten blog, Brian Bennett released his list of the top linebackers in the conference and Taylor and Chris Borland are both featured on the list. Wisconsin is one of just three Big Ten schools to place more than one player on the list.

Badgers running back Monte Ball denied reports that a brawl he allegedly was involved in a week ago was the reason he was attacked and hospitalized Wednesday.
MADISON, Wis. It appears the unprovoked assault that sent University of Wisconsin running back Montee Ball to the hospital early Wednesday morning will force him to miss considerable time during the Badgers' preseason camp.
That's according to Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema, who discussed Ball's health status Thursday morning during a taping of WISC-TV Madison sports...
One of the five men who attacked Wisconsin Badgers running back and Heisman Trophy finalist Montee Ball reportedly said, “One down, nine to go,” indicating that others could be targeted in future attacks.
The Capital Times is reporting that a witness heard one of Ball’s attackers make that statement, but police have no knowledge of other threats against football players.
