Found August 31, 2013 on The Nosebleeds:

Texas A&M cornerback Deshazor Everett was ejected from the Aggies’ season openeer on Saturday for this hit on a Rice player. According to officials, Everett was “targeting” the player, or launching himself at him despite knowing the play was incomplete. It’s a questionable call considering football is a game of split-second decisions and the hit itself was pretty clean (Everett appeared to lead with his shoulder, not his head). I understand where the rule is coming from but if players continue to get ejected on plays like this, I don’t think it’s good for the game. Penalize, don’t eject. The post This hit is apparently worthy of an ejection in college football now appeared first on The Nosebleeds.

Joe Flacco: Johnny Manziel becoming my favorite player

Joe Flacco knows a thing or two about being a hated man on the football field. Up until he silenced the critics by becoming a Super Bowl MVP, people would bash him left and right. Still, a few months removed from that Super Bowl win, people talk about him as if he’s really not “that guy” to lead them to multiple championships. Johnny Manziel has a new fan in Joe Flacco(photo...

Antics take away from Manziel's return for Aggies

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Johnny Manziel was finally back where he wanted to be Saturday, zig-zagging through Rice defenders in front of 86,686 fans at Kyle Field and in front of a national television audience. It was the Texas A&M quarterback's chance to answer for a tumultuous off-season that included numerous tweets that upset people and an NCAA investigation that could...

Johnny Manziel throws 3 TD passes in two quarters’ work, acts like an a-hole

Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel had to sit out the first half due to his itty ibtty slap on the wrist suspension, but he sure made up for it, in both talent and a-hole-ness against Rice this afternoon.

Manziel back on the field

Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel is back on the field for No. 7 Texas A&M after serving a suspension in the first half against Rice for what the school said was an ''inadvertent'' violation of NCAA rules involving signing autographs. Video: Ricky Seals-Jones Lives Up To Hype With 71-Yard Touchdown

Johnny Manziel is suspended for the first half of the Rice game, but that doesn’t mean the Aggies lost all of their firepower. The Owls are giving them a game early, but A&M just took a 21-14 lead after Matt Joeckel threw a 71-yard touchdown pass to the highly-anticipated freshman wide receiver Ricky Seals-Jones. Jones gave his defender a little hesitation move, and then it...

In Manziel's absence, Aggies QB Joeckel steps up

The pre-Johnny Football era of the 2013 season got off to a rough start for the Texas A&M Aggies, falling behind the Rice Owls 14-7 and getting dominated in the trenches early on. In fact, it was the absence of six other players -- including defensive starters corner De'Vante Harris, linebacker Steven Jenkins, defensive end Gavin Stansbury and nose guard Kirby Ennis --...

Texas A&M DB Everett first violator of new targeting rule

College football's new targeting rule was a point of contention this offseason, especially after top officials claimed that Jadeveon Clowney's highlight hit against Michigan would have warranted an ejection, and now we have our first "violator" on record. Texas A&M defensive back Deshazor Everett was ejected in the fourth quarter of the Aggies' 52-31 win...

Joe Flacco’ s new favorite player? Johnny Manziel, of course

The quarterback believed to be the most boring in all of the NFL happens to be Joe Flacco. He even looks boring. Which is why it is odd to hear that his new favorite player in college football is the most attention-seeking, rowdy, and controversial figure. The Super Bowl MVP is a big fan of Heisman Trophy winner, Johnny Manziel. Via FTW: “Being hated is not a bad thing…. I don’t...

Manziel has made A&M the new villain

A lot of people are calling Johnny Manziel a *******. That might be true and it might not be true, but in any case, he doesn't seem to be going out of his way to change anybody's mind about it. He's probably not a bad person. But he doesn't seem to care what anybody says, as long as they don't say he can't play. Right up until Saturday, he reasonably could...

Half-game suspension for Johnny Manziel not a popular one

People in and around football circles are scratching their heads at Texas A&M's mere slap on the wrist for quarterback Johnny Manziel stemming from his autograph-signing miscues.

Sumlin: Not time for Manziel to talk

No. 7 Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel didn't speak to the media until late November last year because of coach Kevin Sumlin's ban on freshman talking to reporters. Now he's a sophomore and a Heisman Trophy winner and he's once again being kept from the media. He has served his half-game NCAA suspension and played his first game for the Aggies, but hasn't spoken...
