First Down. If you haven't taken notice of the Stanford Cardinal by now you need to start. Stanford is now 9-2 and fresh off a major road upset of #2 Oregon. The nation's top run defense stuffed the Ducks, holding them to just 198 yards on the ground. Twice Oregon tried to go for it on fourth down - something that's rather routine under Chip Kelly - and twice they were stopped. Oregon is accustomed to establishing a quick strike offense through use their play makers in the open field, capable of busting a big one each time. That was not the case against Stanford as the Ducks' big play ability vanished as fast as their national championship hopes. Second Down. Let's give it up for the SEC everyone. On a weekend we all thought was going to be a dud, you managed to slide right back into the national championship picture. We have to hand it to you.
