The No. 6 LSU Tigers face their toughest challenge yet this Saturday when they travel to Georgia to test themselves against the Bulldogs, now ranked 9th in the country.
This top ten face off will be a good measuring stick for the Tigers to grade just how much their offense has actually improved.
Expectations are high, as this is the first time in LSU football history the Tigers have registered over 400 yards of total offense in each of the first 4 games of the season.
Quarterback Zach Mettenberger, who originally signed with Georgia but never played there, is coming into his own.
Coach Les Miles likes the senior's maturity.
"I think Zach is really doing what we ask of him and need not get impatient," Miles said. "At certain times, we're not going to throw the ball down the field, certain times the read is going to keep you underneath. We felt like he handled it and had poise during that stretch when we were looking at rain as an opponent as well."

LSU coach Les Miles says starting right guard Trai Turner and starting defensive tackle Anthony Johnson will recover from recent injuries in time to play this Saturday when the No. 6 Tigers visit No. 9 Georgia.
Both players left last Saturday night's game against Auburn, Turner with an apparent right ankle injury and Johnson with a left leg injury.
Miles says trainers determined...

This week’s matchup between the LSU Tigers and the Georgia Bulldogs is poised to be the biggest game to watch of the weekend. As usual, there is a twist and it starts with LSU QB Zach Mettenberger. CBS Sports has learned that Mettenberger’s mom, Tammy, is actually an administrative assistant at Georgia, so as a friendly gesture from one SEC school to another, Coach Mark Richt...
Auburn journeyed into the Bayou on Saturday night knowing that it had not won there since 1999. LSU was eager to prove that they belonged among the elite of college football and Auburn was eager to prove that the last two years' were behind them.
LSU came out and looked dominant in the sloppy weather as they took a 21-0 lead into half-time. Jeremy Hill had two first half...

This hammered-drunk LSU Tigers fan wants Auburn fans to "suck that Tiger bait."
LSU fans can look forward to at least seven more years of Fergusons snapping for the Tigers. Blake Ferguson, younger brother of current LSU snapper Reid Ferguson, committed to the Tigers this past Saturday, ensuring that position will stay in the family for the foreseeable future.
Alabama tried to infiltrate the Bayou and steal Dylan Moses, the freak 15-year-old from Baton Rouge, LA, but the LSU Tigers ended up being the ones to get an early commit from the high school freshman. Yes, a freshman. You…Read more →
It wasn't a good week for Jeff Driskel. He saw his season end with a broken fibula against Tennessee.....which he broke while throwing a Pick 6. That capped what has been a fairly awful start to the year. But the good news for the Gators is that they bounced back with replacement QB Tyler Murphy, and the Gators chomped Tennessee, who looked dreadful offensively AND defensively...
Fans in Austin are going to want a big name coach; someone they can look at and think that he is going to turn things around in a heart beat. It has been no secret that the Longhorns are interested in Nick Saban; also no secret that he has no interest in leaving Alabama. So why not go after LSU Head Coach Les Miles?
The answer to that is easy--because he...

Check out the Shaq antics below as he walks onto the field to talk to head coach Les Miles and attempts to give a very high-five to LSU cornerback Dwayne Thomas:

This is a meeting of two of the elder statesmen of the SEC. Mark Richt has been with Georgia for 13 seasons and Les Miles has been at LSU for 9. Under Mark Richt, the Georgia Bulldogs have gone 120-41 and have won or tied for the SEC East Crown in six of his twelve seasons. Les Miles...
Quarterback Aaron Murray can't imagine any school going through the sort of gauntlet Georgia has faced in the opening month of the season.
After spending most of his young life cherishing every moment in Georgia's Sanford Stadium, LSU signal-caller Zach Mettenberger can't wait until this visit is done and over with.
The No. 9 Bulldogs will become the fourth team in...
