Louisville senior tight end Nate Nord is expected to return to the lineup for the Cardinals this weekend against Temple. Nord has missed the last three games due to a nagging hamstring injury that occurred at Southern Miss. He leads the Louisville tight end’s when 11 receptions for 103 yards.
With Nord missing the last few games, Louisville has been forced to try some different things at the tight end position. Defensive lineman BJ Butler played a couple of series at tight end against Cincinnati last week.
Nord is not only a threat to make catches, but he’s also Louisville’s top blocking tight end. With Nord returning, we may see Louisville’s running game get back to where it was a few weeks ago.
