The return of the Prodigal Son to Louisville (hey, he even ate with the swine), made for a curious thought. What coaches had the best returns to a place they had previously coached at? This has happened more often than you think, and the names on the list are rather impressive. Bobby Petrino has quite the uphill climb in front of him, but we think it is entirely possible that he vaults himself to the top of this list, due to Charlie Strong leaving the cupboard rather full with talent. One thing Petrino was never great at was recruiting, and he probably has the most talent he has ever seen as a head coach.
Unfortunately, most coaches don't replicate the success they once had, even though they may rejuvenate fan bases and memories.
