USC football players were on the practice field Thursday morning, less than 12 hours after a shooting on campus.
The Times has reported that Geno Hall, a former Crenshaw High football star, was critically injured in a shooting at a Halloween party, according to multiple law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation.
According to the report: "University officials said that the party was sponsored by the Black Student Assembly and attended by about 400 people. None of those involved in the shooting were students at USC."
Offensive lineman Marcus Martin and linebacker Hayes Pullard played at Crenshaw High. Trojans players are not made available to the media on Thursdays.
USC is preparing for Saturday's game against No. 2 Oregon at the Coliseum.
