Former LSU football teammates Barkevious Mingo and Sam Montgomery have made a friendly wager ahead of April's NFL Draft. Both defensive ends are projected to be selected in the first round, however, the two have decided to bet $5,000 to see which player gets drafted first. The duo revealed the details of the wager on Saturday at the NFL Scouting Combine. And it appears as though this isn't the first time the SEC standouts have laid money on the line for football feats."We had three bets going on. We had one for the highest (amount) of sacks for $1,000. I won that," Montgomery said. "We had one for $500 for the most sacks in the last game. I won that. Now we're fighting (to see) who goes highest in the draft."That amount of money is pretty big, so I have to come through with this one."Mingo added:"Sam and I had plenty of bets on the year," Mingo said. "Our first one was who had the first sack. He was supposed to wash my car because I won. He hasn't done that."I'm pretty confident in myself, so he's going to be coming out some money on that one. And I get a car wash."Montgomery may have some work to do in the next several weeks. According to Sports Illustrated's latest draft board, Montgomery currently ranks as the No. 21 player, while Mingo sits inside the top ten at No. 9.But considering that both are on the verge of earning multi-million dollar contracts soon, I don't think either one of them will lose any sleep over five grand.Via SB Nation
