PLAYERS: Tyrann Mathieu
Former LSU cornerback/kcik returner Tyrann Mathieu told TMZ that he believes he was the best player at the NFL scouting combine. Tyrann Mathieu arrived in L.A. yesterday … where he’s all set to participate in a segment for ESPN’s “Sports Science” … but while he waited for his bags at LAX, the 20-year-old talked all about his upcoming career as an NFL pro. Among the topics — Mathieu told us which NFL team he wants to play for … why he excelled at the combine … and how he’s focused on returning to greatness after his recent drug issues. I thought Mathieu performed pretty well at the combine.  I wouldn’t say he was the best player, but that’s his confidence speaking.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = ''+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })();
