If you weren’t sure who the Alpha-male was in the B1G, look no further than Urban Meyer at Ohio State. He wants to bring a bit of that SEC spirit to the conference, especially after seeing a down year in recruiting. Not his recruiting, after all, Ohio State ended up with a Top 5 class according to all the major scouting sources. The only other team to receive such high honors was the team from up north. That doesn’t sit right with Urban. He wants the conference dominating the competition, and since they aren’t, he wants to do something about. Meyer, who just completed his first full recruiting haul since taking the Buckeyes head coaching job last winter, was speaking with 97.1 in Columbus, and said that he intends to speak directly with the other head coaches in the conference in order to get them to do a better job in recruiting. Say what? Yeah, you read that right. Meyer specifically pointed out that the SEC had 10 teams finish in the Top 25 of recruiting classes according to Rivals, while the B1G managed to land 3 teams in the Top 25 of Rivals (OSU #2, Michigan #5, and Nebraska [...]
