After all was said and done in USCs 21-7 loss to Georgia Tech in the Hyundai Sun Bowl, USC junior wide receiver Robert Woods let it be known that right there in El Paso he played his final game in a USC uniform. On Monday, Woods announced he would forego his senior season and enter the 2013 NFL Draft.I feel like I accomplished a lot at USC and Im very prepared to play at the next level, Woods said on the Trojans Radio Network following Mondays Sun Bowl.He leaves USC as the schools all-time leader in receptions with 252.Woods quickly came onto the scene in 2010 and emerged as Matt Barkleys favorite target. He concluded his freshman campaign with a team-high 65 catches. He also set a USC freshman record with 1,817 all-purpose yards. He returned to have a remarkable year as a sophomore in 2011. He started out the season with a bang catching a USC-record 17 receptions against Minnesota. He finished the year with 111 catches surpassing Keyshawn Johnson to become the Pac-12s single season leader in receptions. That record was broken this season by Marqise Lee.During his junior year, Woods was never able to return to the success he enjoyed as a sophomore. He became the teams second receiver with the emergence of Lee. Still, despite stepping aside for Lee to assume the No. 1 wide receiver role, Woods spent nearly the entire season peppered with questions of why he wasnt getting the ball.A class act, Woods kept the team first and encouraged Lee never uttering any signs of his displeasure with his diminished role. He had just three catches for 33 yards on Monday and finished the season with 73 catches for 813 yards and 11 touchdowns. Woods turned in evaluation papers to the NFL and reportedly received a high second round grade. On the other side of town, UCLA junior linebacker Anthony Barr announced he will not enter the 2013 NFL Draft and will return to Westwood for his senior season. Barr received All-American honors after recording 13.5 sacks this season. He was projected by many to be a first round pick. Barr was an Army All-American as a running back coming out of Loyola High School in 2010 but in his first two seasons at UCLA was lost in the shuffle as an F-back in the Pistol Offense ran under former head coach Rick Neuheisel. With the change to a 3-4 defense under first year head coach Jim Mora, Barr requested a switch to outside linebacker and the result paid off for him and the Bruins defense as Barr emerged as one of the premiere linebackers in the nation. In addition to leading the team in sacks, he registered a team-high 21.5 tackles for loss."I have carefully explored my options and have decided to continue my football career with UCLA," said Barr in a statement. "The time will come soon enough to live my dream of playing at the next level."

Robert Woods seems bitter that Lane Kiffin didn’t get him the ball enough

USC junior wide receiver Robert Woods announced after Monday’s Sun Bowl that he would be foregoing his senior season to enter the NFL draft. The announcement came as no surprise for a few reasons.
