Everything about Alabama was impressive in its 42-14 drubbing of Notre Dame to win the BCS National Championship on Monday. Quarterback A.J. McCarron went 20-for-28 for 264 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Amari Cooper had six catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns. The defense only allowed 302 yards and 18 first downs. The Crimson Tide even had two rushers go for over 100 yards. But if there was one play that was more special than the others, it was the receiving touchdown Eddie Lacy scored on before halftime. Lacy, a junior running back, rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, and he caught three passes for 17 yards including the touchdown seen above. Lacey took a dumpoff pass from McCarron and made two Notre Dame defenders collide with a beautiful spin move right before the end zone. Lacy punished Notre Dame throughout the game as Alabama became the first team all season to successfully push around the Fighting Irish’s front seven.
