No. 18 USC and No.4 Oregon are battling it out at Autzen Stadium tonight in a pivotal Pac 12 clash, with a berth in the inaugural Pac 12 Championship game on the line for the Ducks (USC cannot play in the postseason due to NCAA sanctions).
With that in mind, expect both teams to try and keep the infractions to a minimum. Of course that doesn’t mean that the occasional penalty flag won’t be thrown, such as this one was on Oregon center Hroniss Grasu during the second quarter. The ref signals a holding call on Grasu, only his explanation is a bit, shall we say, unusual.
Apparently the Ducks lineman violated the little know “Bear Hug” rule, as our intrepid official clarifies so humorously for us. Bonus points for demonstrating what a bear hug actually looks like, for the ignorant and uniformed.

So apparently 29 players on the Oregon Ducks football team take sign language class. Didn't know it was that popular. Recently they found out that the famous 'O' that fans flash on the regular is really the sign language for the word Vagina. Not really a huge surprise considering the shape that they make.

The outcome may have not been ideal for Oregon, but they did have plenty of highlights. One of the best was this one-handed grab by David Paulson which he somehow turned into 6 points.

The Ducks may have lost to USC on the field Saturday, but they did have a win of another sort as one of the top 2013 prospects in the nation committed to Chip Kelly.

Oregon Ducks blogger Travis Koehler points out the Oregon Ducks lost by a missed field goal as time expired by Maldonaldo. The ball was pulled wide left as Oregon's national title hopes flied past the goal posts into the stands.
Following the lead of pragmatic coach Chip Kelly, the Oregon Ducks quickly put their loss to USC behind them and looked forward to the finale against Oregon State. Any chance of a repeat appearance in the BCS championship game is gone, but the Ducks still need a victory in the annual Civil War rivalry game to clinch the Pac-12 North and host the league's inaugural championship game.
