Saturday will be the 30th meeting between Louisville and Southern Miss with the Golden Eagles holding an 18-10-1 advantage in the series that began in 1949. If you can find the time, I recommend you watch these highlight videos from the 2010 Beef O’ Brady’s Bowl, which was the last time these two teams met. Both teams are completely different, but it’s interesting to see just how different this year’s Louisville team is to that 2010 team. Vance Bedford’s defense was thought to be a major concern heading into the 2010 season, but that defense was arguably the main reason the Cards were bowl eligible.
