What makes the Bowl Eeason extra fun is that teams typically forgo any and all forms of conservative play-calling. Take for example last night’s Little Caesar’s Bowl game with Purdue taking on Western Michigan.

The Broncos put excitement into the game early with a perfectly executed flea-flicker to Jordan White. If you don’t know who Jordan White is, you will know it on Sundays very soon. Following that play, that had the Boilermakers a little staggered, they ran a fake extra-point.

I love the all these bowl games for sequences just like that.

Little Caesars Bowl: Purdue fends off pesky Western Michigan

Western Michigan came oh so close to making a statement for the Mid-American Conference. A victory over a Big Ten team—even a 6-6 Purdue team—would have been a huge win for the program. Western Michigan has been running a "Carder2White" campaign all year to highlight the connection between quarterback Alex Carder and receiver Jordan White, and that relationship made the Little Caesars Bowl interesting — at least early — despite an eventual 37-32 loss to Purdue.
