Linebacker Bruce Taylor, Virginia Tech's leading tackler the past two seasons, will miss the remainder of this season after sustaining a foot injury in the No. 15 Hokies' victory against Boston College. The school says Taylor suffered a Lisfranc sprain and will have surgery later this week. Taylor is the fourth defensive player the Hokies (7-1, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) have lost for the season because of an injury. He joins defensive linemen Kwamaine Battle and Antoine Hopkins, both with knee injuries, and linebacker Jeron Couveia-Winslow (foot) on the sidelines. The Hokies also played with All-American cornerback Jayron Hosley against the Eagles, and lost linebacker Alonzo Tweedy during the game with an ankle injury. The availability of both for Saturday's game at Duke will be determined later in the week.
