Tennessee has benched quarterback Justin Worley after three games, giving Nathan Peterman his first career start.
The Volunteers (2-1) announced the move about two hours before Saturday's kickoff at No. 19 Florida.
Peterman, a 6-foot-2 redshirt freshman from nearby Jacksonville, should give the Volunteers more versatility against the Gators (1-1). He has completed 6 of 12 passes for 40 yards this season, but he also has scrambling ability.
Worley, a junior from Rock Hill, S.C., completed 35 of 57 passes for 372 yards, with five touchdowns and an interception in three starts this season. He completed 13 of 25 passes for 126 yards, including a 51-yarder, in last week's 59-14 loss at No. 2 Oregon. Worley also started three games last season.

The Tennessee Volunteers ran a very strange trick play on Saturday in which none of their offensive linemen moved after the snap. The play failed miserably, as Florida’s defensive players not only just blow by the static linemen and lay a big hit on the Vols QB, but Tennessee was also flagged for offensive pass interference on the play.
I think it’s safe to say that’s the last...

We had an amazing interview with Joe, aka the guy who took the girl from Craigslist and showed her around The Swamp, on (I guess you could call it a date?) meeting at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Joe was awesome enough to give us an exclusive interview on the events that transpired. Give it a listen and find out how Jessica became a Gainesville celebrity at The Swamp restaurant. http...

This picture was taken at 3:29 PM for a 3:30 kick off between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Florida Gators. The marching band is on the field and it looks like some of the students are still tailgating it seems. Nate Peterman is set to set and expect to see him run more than quarterback Justin Worley.
The comedy of errors committed by Florida Gators and Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday were all collected in a lowlights reel fit for a circus tent.
Tennessee will have to wait another year for a shot at Southeastern Conference rival Florida.
The Volunteers ruined any chance of ending their losing streak in the series by committing six turnovers - four in the first half - in a 31-17 loss against the 19th-ranked Gators on Saturday.
Tennessee, which has lost nine in a row against the Gators, had little luck with either quarterback...
