The San Jose State Spartans defeated the Bowling Green Falcons 29 – 20 in the Military Bowl. The thing to take away from a rather unexciting game is the fact that the Western Athletic Conference will not exist next year and both teams that represented the conference in bowl games won. Utah State also won their bowl game the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl 41 – 15 over Toledo. This is the first 11 win season for the San Jose State Spartans since 1940.
