1. Clemson (4-0) The game was over in the first five minutes. 2. Florida State (4-0) It wasn't easy, but the Seminoles put away Boston College. 3. Miami (4-0) The Hurricanes weren't really tested in their first road game. 4. Georgia Tech (3-1) Penalties and turnovers plagued the Yellow Jackets. 5. Maryland (4-0) A much deserved bye week. 6. Virginia Tech (4-1) Logan Thomas played his best game of the season. 7. NC State (3-1) 28 second quarter points led the Wolfpack to a blowout win. 8. Pittsburgh (3-1) The Panthers won despite 199 yards of offense. 9. North Carolina (1-3) The Heels defense allowed over 600 yards in their loss to ECU. 10. Duke (3-2) A strong passing effort from Brandon Connette led the Blue Devils to the win. 11. Boston College (2-2) The Eagles were a lot more game than most expected against FSU. 12. Syracuse (2-2) A bye week with Clemson on deck. 13. Virginia (2-2) That offensive effort against Pitt was downright pathetic. 14. Wake Forest (2-3) One first quarter touchdown was all they could muster against Clemson.

Connette leads Duke past Troy for a 38-31 win

Brandon Connette threw three touchdowns passes and ran for two more to lead Duke to a 38-31 win over Troy on Saturday. Connette, a junior from Corona, Calif., had 324 yards passing and 55 rushing.
