With each college football season comes a plethora of award watch lists with countless preseason candidates. Instead of giving you the press release-esque article about the player and the history of the award, I’ve decided to give it a TSB makeover and project the odds the player actually wins the award in the 2013 season.
Here’s a breakdown of those Wisconsin Badgers who’ve been nationally recognized and named to Preseason Award Watch Lists:
Maxwell Award (National Player of the Year)
Candidate: RB James White
Reaction: White very well could be the most experienced running back in all of college football. The senior boasts a Big Ten freshman of the year award for running to the tune of 1,052 yards in 2010 followed by two straight years of progression behind superstar Montee Ball. White has the skills to do just about everything from running, catching and even passing the ball.
