Three straight Big 10 titles and three straight Rose Bowl appearances is pretty impressive for the Wisconsin Badgers. Unfortunately, the Badgers haven't been able to win any of those Rose Bowls under former coach Brett Bielema. With Bielema off to Arkansas, new head coach, Garry Andersen, is looking to take Wisconsin to the next level.Coming from Utah State, Andersen was already familar with the Badgers as his Aggies nearly upset Wisconsin last year.As we move into 2013, the Badgers will need to replace NCAA record holder, running back Montee Ball, find a solution at the quarterback position and work with a very young secondary.Even with all that, there is enough talent for Andersen's Badgers to compete for another trip to the Rose Bowl.August 31 vs. UMassThe Andersen era at Wisconsin starts with a bang. In this very easy matchup against possibly the worst team in FBS, the Badgers simply dominate. Both Badger running backs, James White and Melvin Gordon, rush for over a 100 yards despite barely playing in the second half. The biggest question about this game is will Andersen run up the score the same way Bielema loved to. Wisconsin 56-10September 7 vs. Tennessee TechAnother cupcake matchup for the Badgers, playing against an FCS foe. The Golden Eagles struggled last season and don't expect them to put up much of a fight against Wisconsin. The Badgers will cruise to another easy victory as they get ready for a tough test in Week 3. Wisconsin 51-7September 14 at Arizona StateAfter starting the year with two easy home games, Wisconsin travels out west to take on a talented Arizona State team. This is the first real test for the Badgers and one of their tougher games all season.Unfortunately, this is a test they fail to pass as they Sun Devils prove to be too much. The Badgers' run defense struggles to stop the Sun Devils' pair of talented backs. It'll be a great matchup to see Arizona State's stud defensive tackle, Will Sutton, battle the always tough Wisconsin offensive line. Arizona State 35-28September 21 vs. PurdueThe Badgers take out their anger from the loss on the poor Purdue Boilermakers. Everything seems to be clicking for Wisconsin as they blow out Purdue in its Big 10 opener. Wisconsin 63-10September 28 at Ohio StateBuckeye haters all across the country have circled this one as many believe Wisconsin has the best chance of keeping Ohio State from going undefeated again. The winner of this nationally televised night game will be in the driver's seat for control of the Big 10 leaders division. The Badgers lean on their running game early on to stay close, but in the end Ohio State's Braxton Miller ends up being too much for the Wisconsin defense to handle. Ohio State 27-17October 12 vs. NorthwesternComing off a tough loss to the Buckeyes, the Badgers have a bye week to recover before hosting Northwestern. This should be enough time for them to bounce back against the fiesty Wildcats. Northwestern puts up some points, but in the end Badgers linebacker Chris Borland leads the defense on a final stand to closeout the game. Wisconsin 42-35October 19 at IllinoisAnother Big 10 foe that simply can't handle the Badgers' potent ground game. Wisconsin pounds the ball on the ground and the Fighting Illini have no answer. Wisconsin 45-17November 2 at IowaBoth teams love to run the ball and that's exactly what both teams do in this matchup. In a game with long clock-killing drives, the Badgers' defense proves to be the difference. Wisconsin 28-13November 9 vs. BYUAnother tough out of conference game for the Badgers. This time the game is at home and while BYU is a good team, the Badgers are better. Wisconsin 27-17November 16 vs. IndianaThe Hoosiers could surprise a few people this year, especially on offense. They are able to put up some points, but stopping Wisconsin's offense isn't happening. Wisconsin 45-31November 23 at MinnesotaThe battle for Paul Bunyan's Axe has been won by Wisconsin since 2004 and that won't be changing this year. The Badgers simply overpower Minnesota and secure another conference win. Wisconsin 48-13November 30 vs. Penn StateAt this point Wisconsin should have already locked up second place in the Leaders division and even an Ohio State loss to Michigan wouldn't give them a spot in the Big 10 title game. Still, Andersen's players come out motivated and determned to finish the season on a high note. Wisconsin 27-17Overall 10-2 (7-1) second place in the Big 10 Leaders Division
