LOS ANGELES -- In his first two NFL games, Robert Woods has caught a touchdown pass and a two-point conversion for the Buffalo Bills. Through his first two games, he's averaging 17.2 yards per reception with five catches for 86 yards. His transition to professional football, however, hasn't stopped him from checking in on his former teammates. Just like he was in the meeting rooms and on the field at USC, Woods is still providing guidance to his former teammates. USC receiver Marqise Lee says Woods has found time to watch some film on the Trojans and offer his critiques. "I talk to Rob like every day," Lee said. "I still go to Rob for advice, all of us do. Xavier (Grimble still goes) to Rob (for) things we can improve on. "He still pays attention to the things we do and sometimes he critiques us -- things we need to improve on, things he feel we can change and more effort if we need more effort." The relationship between the two goes back to their days at Serra High School. They were teammates there for two seasons before Woods graduated. After he headed to USC, Lee actually wore Woods' former No. 2 jersey for Serra and had a breakout year at wide receiver as a senior. They were reunited in 2011 when Lee joined Woods at USC. For two seasons, they paired to form one of the most dynamic wide receiving duos in the country. Lee has always looked at Woods as a big brother type. Woods has continued that role from all the way across the country. Meanwhile, Lee has watched Woods as well as he goes through his rookie season in the NFL. "I watch all of Robert's highlights and T.J. (McDonald's), actually," Lee said. "Robert doing the same thing he did here. (He's a) great technician and the speed look crazy now. He just doing what he supposed to do." The reigning Biletnikoff Award winner is happy for his former teammates' success so far. "(As) a young person coming in its just like college, trying to earn your spot and get as many balls as you can and the balls you get just take advantage of it," Lee said. "And I know Rob. That's what he's going to do."
