Legendary Dr. Lou Holtz Visits Bulls Practice
The USF football team got a treat on Thursday when legendary Coach Lou Holtz, an ESPN analyst and father of USF coach Skip Holtz, attended the Bulls practice. Afterwards Dr. Lou talked to the media saying the Bulls are a very impressive football team. Dr. Lou also gave some insight into Skip during his younger years at Notre Dame, How he is as a coach, and more.

Memphis and South Florida Meet in St. Petersburg
South Florida will not have to travel far for their bowl this season, but they will have a tough opponent to face in Memphis. The Memphis Tigers won 3 out of their last 4 games, which they needed to get their 6 wins to become bowl eligible. South Florida finished the season 7-5, however, they have taken a slightly different route.

USF's Grothe Sells Beer To Minor; A Bigger Problem?
The St. Petersberg Times reports that University of South Florida quarterback Matt Grothe, the Big East Rookie of the Year in 2006, was arrested and received a misdemeanor charge of selling alcohol to a minor on April 19th at the Bull Ring Sports Bar, an off campus USF-themed sports bar where Grothe apparently works as a bartender.

We're Going Bowling: Papajohns.com Bowl
This bowl has definitely earned the right to be called the worst named bowl in history. Honestly, papajohns.com bowl? Papa John's sucks enough, the fact that a bowl is named after their website is just discouraging. The sad thing is, the game probably won't be a whole lot better than the name, pitting South Florida v. East Carolina.
