Nelson Piquet Jr. and the No. 30 Turner Motorsports team left their mark on Texas Motor Speedway. After leading both practice sessions, Piquet Jr. went on to capture his third Keystone Light Pole Award of the 2012 season. Starting from the front row, the No. 30 pulled away from the field and went on to lead a majority of the laps in the 147-lap event and claimed a solid third-place finish for the young Brazilian. This was Piquet Jr.’s third top-five finish in only five starts at Texas Motor Speedway. With three pole positions, Piquet Jr. is currently tied for the driver with the most pole awards of the 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season.

Nelson Piquet Jr. on Phoenix International Raceway…“With nothing to lose and only two races to go in the season, I’m determined to go after a win this weekend. My team has fought hard all year and they deserve it. I’ve only been to Phoenix once so I want to learn as much as I can while here. My crew chief Chris Carrier and I continue to work well together, and I’ve seen so much growth in my skill set throughout 2012.”
