Last year I argued Chase Headley should have been an All-Star, instead Scott Rolen and his .241 average got the nod. Rolen benefited from plenty of injuries at the hot corner and a great reputation to earn his seventh all-star bid.  Although some could argue that no Padres is worthy of an all-star bid, each team will be represented and since the pitching staff has been decimated by injuries, the token Padres pitcher seems a bit of a stretch this year. When you look at the Padres lineup, it’s hard to make a case that any of the starters are worthy of an all-star selection, either because of lack of production or lack of playing time.  Especially when you consider the offense does play its games in Petco National Park.  That's not to say some of these guys haven't been productive, they just haven't been All-Star productive.Chase Headley once again, has strung together a solid first half and although his numbers may not look like an All-Star, given the fact that no other position play...
